Quant Analyst Intern

2Cents Capital is seeking a talented Quantitative Analyst Intern to join our team, contributing to the development of algorithmic trading strategies and financial models. As a Quant Analyst Intern, you will leverage your mathematical, analytical, and programming skills to support trading activities and strategy development in the fast-paced world of crypto and traditional financial markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategy Development: Assist in identifying, maintaining, and enhancing trading strategies and business opportunities across our trading teams.
• Performance Analysis: Analyze trading performance and financial time series data using statistical methods to uncover trends and optimize strategies.
• Automation: Help in automating trading strategies through a systematic, data-driven approach, ensuring efficiency and responsiveness to market changes.
• Financial Modelling: Assist in constructing, back-testing, and maintaining financial models to support trading activities and decision-making.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the technology team to maintain and enhance electronic trading systems.
• Risk Management: Contribute to managing risk effectively by learning about risk management procedures and adapting strategies to changing market conditions.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Experience or coursework in data analysis, market research, and financial modelling is a plus.
• Proficiency in programming languages, preferably Python or C++.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply mathematical and statistical techniques to real-world financial data.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for teamwork.
• A strong interest in financial markets, trading, and algorithmic strategies.
