Job Description: Business Development Manager


Responsibilities:


Market Analysis and Strategy Development:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and new business opportunities within the AV, automation, and BMS sectors.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to expand market presence and achieve revenue targets.


Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients, providing expert advice and solutions tailored to their specific needs.


Sales and Revenue Generation:

  • Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing deals, including preparing and delivering technical presentations and proposals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including cross-selling and upselling to existing clients.


Technical Expertise and Consultation:

  • Leverage deep industry knowledge to provide technical consultation and support to clients, ensuring solutions meet their requirements and expectations.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and project management teams to design and implement customised AV, automation, and BMS solutions.


Project Management and Coordination:

  • Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration and installation of AV, automation, and BMS systems.

 

Industry Networking and Representation:

  • Represent Vector Systems at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and establish thought leadership.
  • Develop and maintain a strong professional network within the AV, automation, and BMS industries.


Qualifications:


Experience:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business development or sales within the AV, automation, or BMS industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in a technical field.


Technical Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of AV integration, home automation systems, and BMS solutions.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts to clients.


Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective business development strategies.
  • Project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects and ensure timely delivery.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
