Role: Quality Assurance Lead

Location: Chennai(Onsite)

Exp: 8+yrs

Mode: Contract


Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Automation Engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Python and Selenium.
  • Convert existing manual test cases into automated tests for streaming media devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and create effective test strategies.
  • Take knowledge transfer (KT) from the QA Architect and provide KT to the team.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs using any Bug Tracking Tool.
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Design and implement automated test frameworks and tools to improve efficiency.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Monitor test results, analyze failures, and provide detailed feedback to development teams.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in QA automation.
  • Allocate tasks and manage the workload of the QA Automation team to ensure timely delivery of projects.


Required Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Automation Engineer or similar role, with leadership experience.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Proficiency in Selenium for web application and device testing.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as PyTest, Robot or any Python based Framework.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as AWS Code Pipeline, Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI or any other CI/CD tool.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Experience in testing streaming media devices or similar hardware/software integrations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Experience in knowledge transfer processes and documentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
