Job Title: Quality Assurance Lead

Experience: 8+ years

Location: Chennai (WFO)


Responsibilities:


Leadership & Management:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of testers, including both manual and automation testers.

Develop and implement testing strategies, plans, and processes.

Coordinate and manage testing activities across multiple projects, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.

Conduct regular team meetings and provide guidance to ensure optimal performance.

Collaboration with the team and with other departments.

Test Planning & Execution:

Define, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.

Oversee the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test scripts, test data, and test environments.

Ensure thorough testing of all deliverables, identifying and documenting defects and issues.

Automation & Manual Testing:

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium frameworks.

Conduct manual testing when necessary to ensure thorough coverage of test scenarios.

Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of test automation and manual testing processes.

Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in testing methodologies and tools.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the testing lifecycle.

Perform root cause analysis of defects and work with development teams to implement solutions.

Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on quality and testability.

Track and report on key quality metrics and testing progress.

Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with development, product management, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback.

Communicate test results, progress, and issues to stakeholders clearly and effectively.

Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline.

Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on testing best practices.

Proficiency with Popular Test Management Tools:

JIRA : Expertise in using JIRA for test case management, defect tracking, and project management. Familiarity with JIRA plugins for enhanced test management capabilities.

TestRail: Proficient in using TestRail for test planning, execution, and reporting. Experience in integrating TestRail with other tools like JIRA, Selenium, or Jenkins.


Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

8+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role.

Proven experience with both manual and automated testing techniques and tools.

Experience in leading and managing a team of testers.


Technical Skills:

Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium or similar.

Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.

Experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
