Job Description

Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day housekeeping operations, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of all areas. The role involves supervising housekeeping staff, assigning tasks, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of housekeeping staff.

  • Assign duties, inspect work, and ensure timely completion of tasks.

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in rooms, common areas, and facilities.

  • Train, guide, and motivate housekeeping team members.

  • Monitor and manage housekeeping supplies and inventory.

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure high-quality cleaning and maintenance.

  • Handle guest complaints and requests promptly and professionally.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

  • Prepare duty rosters and maintain housekeeping records.

  • Report maintenance issues to the concerned department.



Requirements Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 2–4 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Hotel Management certification preferred).

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.




Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred). Proven experience (typically 2–5 years) in mechanical engineering or a similar role. Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, MATLAB, etc. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and project management abilities. Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ASME, ISO, ANSI). Preferred Qualifications: Professional Engineering (PE) license or in the process of obtaining it. Experience in HVAC systems, automotive design, robotics. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
