Job Overview

Arihant Publications India Limited is set to revolutionize the K-12 educational publishing landscape with a new approach to content development. We are seeking experienced and visionary Category Heads for our School Division (Grades 1st to 8th) to lead the creation of state-of-the-art, innovative educational content. The Category Head will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of content creation, from curriculum design to final product delivery, ensuring the highest standards of academic excellence.


Key Responsibilities


  • Team Leadership & Management: Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of authors, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and editors to develop comprehensive content for Grades 1st to 8th.


  • Curriculum Design & Development: Develop and oversee the creation of curriculum-aligned content that meets the latest standards and educational trends. Ensure content is pedagogically sound, engaging, and appropriate for the target grade levels.


  • Book Cover Design, Layout & Typesetting: Oversee the design and layout of book covers, ensuring they are visually appealing, engaging, and aligned with the brand. Ensure the typesetting meets high readability standards and enhances the overall learning experience.


  • Content Innovation: Introduce cutting-edge educational techniques and methodologies into the content creation process, ensuring that all products are ahead of the curve and meet the needs of today’s learners.


  • End-to-End Product Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and manuscript development through editing, design, and production to final delivery.


  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all content meets rigorous quality standards, is free of errors, and aligns with the educational curriculum and pedagogical goals.


  • Market & Trend Analysis: Stay updated with the latest trends, innovations, and changes in the K-12 educational landscape, including CBSE, ICSE, and state boards. Adapt products to meet these evolving requirements.


  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams such as marketing, sales, and production to ensure timely and successful product launches. Engage with external stakeholders, including schools, educators, and curriculum experts, to gather feedback and enhance product quality.


Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in educational publishing, content creation, or curriculum development, specifically for Grades 1st to 8th.
  • Proven experience leading and managing cross-functional teams, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality educational content.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Indian K-12 education system.
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
