With a global presence in the US, UK, Canada, and India, Miko prioritizes privacy and security while transforming learning for families Description : We are seeking a talented and experienced Design Lead to join our dynamic team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing products for children, with a significant emphasis on screen-based applications. Experience working with US-based children's products is a major plus. The Design Lead will primarily focus on the Miko App which is divided into a parent section and a kids zone. You will have end to end ownership of the App, ensuring a seamless integration of educational and entertainment driven content with engaging design elements. Key Responsibilities : - Lead and mentor the design team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. - Oversee the design and user experience of the Miko App, ensuring it is engaging, educational, and user-friendly for children aged 4 to 8. - Collaborate closely with the Product and Tech teams to ensure the design vision is implemented effectively. - Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and make data-driven design decisions. - Stay updated with the latest design trends and best practices in children's educational apps. - Ensure the design adheres to safety and privacy standards, particularly those relevant to children's products. Requirement : - 5 - 7 years of experience in design, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role; proven experience in leading design teams and managing design projects from conception to completion. - Strong portfolio showcasing design work on kids' products, with an emphasis on screen-based applications. - Experience working on products for US kids is a significant advantage. - Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Based in or willing to relocate to Mumbai, India and work in a hybrid mode Preferred Qualifications : - Experience with educational apps and a focus on learning rather than purely entertainment. - Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. - Knowledge of child psychology and developmental stages to inform design decisions.
