Description:- Category Management Strategy- Create a comprehensive category strategy for pumps to align with business objectives.- Analyze market trends, customer segments, and competitor offerings to identify growth opportunities.- Supplier & Vendor Relationships- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and long-term contracts.- Pump Product Lifecycle- Define product assortment, launch new models, and phase out underperforming products.- Pricing & Profitability Optimization- Establish competitive pricing strategies and promotional mechanisms to maximize margins.- Inventory & Demand Management- Collaborate with supply chain to optimize stock levels, avoid shortages and overstock, and ensure timely delivery.- Market Intelligence & Reporting- Monitor competitor activities, industry trends, and customer feedback using analytics.- Performance Analysis & Leadership- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, margin, inventory turns, and profitability.- Drive corrective actions where needed.- Team Leadership & Mentorship- Create, guide, and mentor team members focused on pumps, ensuring alignment with company objectives and category goals.Requirements & Skills:- Education: MBA preferred.- Analytical skills to interpret sales data, market trends, and forecast demand.- Commercial acumen in supplier negotiation, pricing models, and margin optimization.- Cross-functional coordination and industry knowledge of pump applications, customer needs, and market dynamics (ref:iimjobs.com)
