Both third-party research and our assessments indicate that most children, even in grade 5, struggle with basic skills such as addition, subtraction, and constructing simple sentences in their local language. Despite the government's doubling of investment in education over the past decade, learning outcomes have continued to show a concerning decline. This underscores the pressing need for an innovative approach to bring about widespread transformation in learning outcomes.$1 InnovationSampark Foundation was founded by Anupama Nayar and Vineet Nayar (Former Vice Chairman and CEO of HCL Technologies and Author of Employees First Customer Second) with the belief that “frugal innovation” along with relentless execution in partnership with the government can drive large-scale change in learning outcomes. This thought led our founders to give up whatever they were doing in 2013 and dedicate their lives to leading this change. Design thinking with a focus on innovation in classroom transactions gave birth to Sampark Smart Shala TM, which is a learning outcome-focused initiative that uses a sound box with a voice mascot called “Sampark Didi” along with music and songs to teach English using LSRW and whole language approach, Innovatively designed TLMs to teach Math from concrete to abstract, BOT enabled mobile App for teachers that works without internet and multimedia fun workbooks with QR codes for children at less than $1 per child per annum.The 1.8+ Crore ImpactOur journey of learning by working with 1.4 Lakh+ rural schools, 1.8+ Crore children in 8 states (Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra & Rajasthan) is just that – a learning journey – because problems at scale can only be solved with patience, perseverance, and lots of passion. Today we train 8.5 Lakhs+ teachers each year at block level and they are our true partners of change and responsible for the encouraging results we have seen through third party assessments.Visit us:https://www.samparkfoundation.org/Position Overview:To work with the Partnerships team and support them in various aspects. Tasks include: Partnership ManagementPartnership Management - Research on various grants and drafting applications for grant funding Managing the administration of grants Additional ad-hoc responsibilities based on the requirement which will mainly be related to Lead Augmentation & partnership building. Managing events and webinars of the foundation Provide input into annual strategic planning, budget process and related activities. Developing our corporate database: researching existing and potential corporates, identifying donor profiles in order to keep our fundraising strategy relevant. Proposal writing & timely submission of all donor reports. Managing donor meetings & composing relevant presentations to facilitate the same.Advocacy Strategy - Coordinate with internal stakeholders to generate reports/whitepapers/position papers/ PowerPoint Presentation as required. Any other as requiredOverall Responsibilities - Building brand visibility amongst stakeholders for the Foundation with the creative use of all external and internal channels of communication. Assist Senior Management & Leadership with strategic planning for advocacy based on the objective of the organization. Design and execute deep engagement strategies with key relationships to ensure meaningful partnerships. Work with the internal team to conceptualize the strategy, working papers along with goals and budgets for the financial year.Qualifications, Experience and Competencies you must have: If you have the passion to learn, a desire to work hard, a free and independent mind, an eye for detail and a habit of perfection. We are looking for someone who wants to bring life-changing transformation in education and meets the following criteria: Excellent interpersonal and administrative skills. Highly organized, efficient and analytical person. Facility with standard office technology and platforms. Excellent English (written & spoken), with a clear, persuasive writing style. Excellent time and task management skills The ability to work in a dynamic, challenging environment, whilst managing to deadlines. Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, as necessary.
