We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Business Development Engineer to join our team and drive the generation of Requests for Quotations (RFQs) from various lead sources.


**Role Definition:**

The Senior Business Development Engineer will be responsible for generating RFQs from inbound and outbound lead sources. This role includes managing and mentoring a Junior Business Development Engineer, developing strategies to identify and qualify leads, and working closely with the Sales & Marketing Manager. The Senior Business Development Engineer will play a critical role in driving business growth and establishing a robust pipeline of potential clients.


### Key Responsibilities:


**Lead Generation and Qualification:**

- Develop and execute strategies to generate RFQs from both inbound and outbound lead sources.

- Identify and qualify potential leads through research, outreach, and networking.

- Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for new business.


**Team Management and Mentorship:**

- Manage and mentor the Junior Business Development Engineer to ensure effective lead generation and qualification.

- Set performance goals and monitor progress to ensure targets are met or exceeded.

- Provide training and guidance to the Junior Business Development Engineer to develop their skills and knowledge.


**Market Analysis and Strategy Development:**

- Conduct market research to identify potential customers and industry trends.

- Develop and implement business development strategies to expand the company's market presence.

- Provide input to the Sales & Marketing Manager on product development and marketing strategies based on market feedback.


**Collaboration and Communication:**

- Work closely with the sales team, including the Senior Sales Engineer and Sales Engineer, to ensure smooth handover of qualified leads.

- Collaborate with the marketing team to align business development efforts with marketing campaigns.

- Coordinate with the production, design, and quality teams to ensure that potential customer requirements can be met.


**Customer Relationship Management:**

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key prospects to ensure engagement and trust.

- Conduct regular follow-ups with potential clients to keep them engaged and informed.

- Provide technical support and product information to prospective customers as needed.


**Reporting and Analysis:**

- Prepare regular reports on business development activities and lead generation performance.

- Track and analyze key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

- Maintain accurate records of leads, interactions, and RFQs in the CRM system.


### Skills Required:

- Strong technical knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes, particularly in Industrial products.

- Excellent business development and lead generation skills with a proven track record of success.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in using CRM software and other business development tools.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.


### Educational and Experience Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.

- At least 2-3 years of experience in a business development role, with a minimum of 1 year in a senior or supervisory position.

- Proven experience in the Industrial Sales is highly desirable.


### Qualifications:

- Demonstrated ability to generate high-quality RFQs from various lead sources.

- Experience in managing and mentoring business development teams.

- Knowledge of market analysis and business development strategy.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
