Overview:We are seeking a Manager Accounts Payable & Taxation to lead end-to-end payables and taxation functions for Clears global finance operations. This role will ensure smooth vendor and employee payment processes, compliance with all statutory tax requirements (direct and indirect), and collaboration with auditors and business stakeholders.This is a hands-on role suited for a proactive finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, automation-driven environment and can independently manage compliance and control frameworks.Key Responsibilities:1. Accounts Payable:- Oversee end-to-end Accounts Payable operations: vendor invoice validation, booking, and timely payments.- Ensure accuracy and compliance in vendor documentation, TDS applicability, and GST credits.- Manage employee reimbursements, travel and expense claims, and related audit controls.- Perform vendor and account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.- Drive automation of AP workflows, approval hierarchies, and reporting through ERP (SAP or equivalent).- Implement process controls for payment approvals, delegation of authority, and fraud risk mitigation.2. Taxation (Direct & Indirect):- Manage Direct Tax compliance TDS/TCS returns, income tax filings, tax audits, and handling of assessments and notices.- Oversee Indirect Tax compliance (GST) monthly/annual returns, reconciliations, e-invoicing, and notice management.- Liaise with internal and external auditors on tax and statutory audit requirements.- Partner with tax consultants to manage ongoing tax queries, clarifications, and assessments.- Ensure compliance calendars, documentation, and reconciliations are accurately maintained.- Support country-level compliance (UAE VAT, KSA VAT, etc.) where applicable.3. Controls, Compliance & Process Improvement:- Strengthen the internal control environment within AP and Tax functions.- Partner with internal audit teams to drive remediation and improvement initiatives.- Drive standardization and automation of recurring processes to reduce manual dependency.- Support finance transformation initiatives and cross-functional projects.Qualifications & Experience:- CA with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Taxation.- Proven experience in managing direct and indirect tax compliance and handling tax notices/assessments.- Experience in ERP environments (SAP preferred) and exposure to automation initiatives.- Strong understanding of Indian accounting and taxation regulations; exposure to international taxation (UAE/KSA VAT) is a plus.- Experience working with statutory and internal auditors and external consultants.Core Competencies:- Hands-on expertise in AP operations and tax compliance.- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation discipline.- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet statutory timelines.- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.- Passion for automation, process improvement, and working in a high-growth environment.Why Join Us- Work with a global SaaS company with strong automation-first finance culture.- Gain exposure to multi-country finance operations and compliance frameworks.- Lead a critical finance function and contribute to process transformation initiatives.
