About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Business Head - Trading/Sales & Marketing (Industrial Motors/Transformers), to join our client's dynamic team in New Delhi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overseeing all aspects of the trading operations. This role involves managing sales, marketing, procurement, and supply chain functions while driving the business's growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the electrical equipment market, extensive leadership experience, and a strategic mindset to expand the company's market share.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

· Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy for the trading division.

· Lead market expansion efforts, including identifying and penetrating new regions and segments.

· Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies as needed.

Operations Management:

· Oversee procurement activities, ensuring that the supply of motors, transformers, and other electrical equipment aligns with demand.

· Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and minimize stock shortages.

· Implement cost control measures to ensure profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.

Sales & Marketing:

· Set aggressive sales targets and ensure they are met through effective planning and execution.

· Oversee the development of key client relationships, particularly with large-scale industrial customers and electrical utilities.

· Ensure the development and implementation of robust marketing strategies to promote products.

Financial Management:

· Manage P&L responsibility for the trading division, ensuring revenue targets are achieved and costs are kept in check.

· Work closely with the finance team to monitor key financial metrics and make necessary adjustments to maintain healthy margins.

Vendor & Supplier Management:

· Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers of motors and transformers.

· Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers to ensure competitive advantage.

Qualifications:

·Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical/Mechanical) or Business Administration. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.

·15+ years of experience in the electrical equipment industry, particularly in motors, transformers, or related products.

· Prior experience in similar field is preferred.

· Proven experience in a leadership role, managing trading, distribution, or sales operations at a regional or national level.

· Strong understanding of supply chain management, procurement, and financial management in a trading context.

Skills:

· Excellent leadership and people management skills.

· Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities.

· Strategic thinking with the ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions.

· Knowledge of market trends, competition, and industry standards in motors and transformers.
