Position: Leader - India Operations (In-office Role)

About You:

We are seeking a visionary accounting professional to lead our dynamic delivery organization in India. If you are driven by client obsession, possess a can-do attitude, and have a track record of managing delivery for multiple clients with diverse teams, this opportunity is tailor-made for you. This pivotal role requires your physical presence in our Noida office. We work collaboratively with local and remote teams in India and Canada, seamlessly blending the best of both worlds in a hybrid work setting.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire multiple teams of Accountants, Bookkeepers, and Payroll Specialists, each responsible for monthly financial reporting, reconciliations, tax filings, payroll processing, and other time-sensitive deliverables for diverse clients
• Ensure flawless and timely delivery within agreed SLAs, balancing both schedule and budget adherence, while proactively identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks or issues
• Uphold the highest quality standards through the consistent use of Enkel-approved tools, systems, and processes, driving accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting deliverables
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client delivery, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and effectively handling escalations to ensure client satisfaction
• Build and maintain a collaborative, productive relationship with the Enkel Onshore team, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on client objectives and service delivery
• Take ownership of building and nurturing a high-performing team, focusing on recruitment, talent development, and succession planning to support team growth and operational scalability
• Lead efforts to continuously improve accounting processes, implementing best practices to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and improve the overall efficiency of the service delivery
• Actively monitor and manage team performance, ensuring key accounting deliverables—such as month-end close, financial statements, and client reporting—are consistently accurate and on time
• Drive accountability within the team by setting clear expectations, providing ongoing feedback, and promoting a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and operational discipline

Required Skills and Experience:

• 15+ years of experience in the accounting or bookkeeping industry, focusing on delivering accounting services
• Proven track record of success in delivering accounting/bookkeeping services for multiple global clients, consistently meeting and exceeding client expectations
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing high-performing accounting or bookkeeping teams in an onshore-offshore model
• Deep understanding of accounting service delivery, including experience with financial statements, compliance reporting, and other accounting deliverables, while managing risk and ensuring adherence to quality standards
• Demonstrated ability to create efficient accounting workflows, implement quality control measures, and standardize processes to enhance operational effectiveness
• Exceptional communication skills, including proficiency in both verbal and written English, to effectively coordinate between clients and teams

Qualifications:

• Postgraduate degree in commerce with a strong accounting background
• Preference for candidates with CA, CPA, or engineering qualifications
• Extensive experience in accounting and operations is essential
• BPO and KPO experience is an asset
