The IT Sales Manager will be responsible for leading end-to-end business development and sales functions within the IT services domain. The role involves managing client acquisition, nurturing partnerships, and overseeing proposal and negotiation processes. The ideal candidate will be a proactive professional with a track record in achieving revenue targets, building long-term relationships, and leading a small team towards defined sales objectives.Key Responsibilities:Business Development & Client Acquisition:- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in IT services and digital transformation projects.- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.- Build and maintain strong relationships with CXOs, decision-makers, and key client stakeholders.- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.Account Management & Client Relations:- Serve as a primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring long-term client satisfaction.- Understand client pain points and collaborate with technical and delivery teams to propose effective solutions.- Drive account growth through up-selling and cross-selling opportunities.Sales Planning & Reporting:- Develop and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring timely reporting and forecasting accuracy.- Prepare regular reports and dashboards for leadership review.- Work closely with the marketing and pre-sales teams to support proposal creation, capability decks, and client presentations.Team Leadership & Coordination:- Mentor and guide junior business development executives and marketing associates.- Foster a collaborative, target-oriented, and learning-focused environment.- Participate in training and knowledge-sharing sessions to align the sales strategy with evolving market trends.Required Skills and Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related fields (MBA preferred).- 4-8 years of proven experience in IT services sales or business development.- Strong understanding of software solutions, IT services, or digital transformation offerings.- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.- Proven ability to develop and manage long-term client relationships.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools (knowledge of Salesforce CRM preferred).- Strategic mindset with a goal-driven, organized, and proactive approach.Preferred Skills:Exposure to Salesforce ecosystem or CRM solution sales.Experience working with international clients across multiple time zones.Understanding of proposal and bid management processes (ref:iimjobs.com)
