As a Kitchen Assistant, your role is to support the kitchen operations and assist the culinary team in various tasks.

Responsibilities:

1.    Food Preparation:

  • Assist in basic food preparation tasks.
  • Follow recipes and portion sizes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.


2.    Dishwashing and Cleaning:

  • Wash dishes and clean kitchen surfaces.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Dispose of trash and maintain recycling.


3.    Ingredient and Supply Management:

  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries.
  • Monitor inventory levels.
  • Help with stock rotation and labeling.


4.    Equipment and Station Maintenance:

  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and surfaces.
  • Assist in equipment maintenance.
  • Follow safety protocols.


5.    Support During Service:

  • Assist in plating and garnishing dishes.
  • Ensure timely food delivery.
  • Help with basic food assembly.


6.    Team Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen staff.
  • Follow instructions and work collaboratively.
  • Provide assistance to colleagues.


Qualifications:

  • Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen procedures is a plus.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts.
