Basic FunctionThe role is a leadership position having oversight of a sales team consisting of Sales Managers and Account managers and a Technical team consisting of ADTS/NBD Managers. The main purpose is to develop the team, motivate, inspire and coach the team members to develop the sales growth at the customer; increase total value creation; manage the order-to-cash process and improve customer satisfaction of LyondellBasell APS products within a specific region in line with the defined business strategy
The role is also responsible for working in close collaboration with the Business Head and relevant key interfaces to implement business strategies and manage execution to realize the maximum value of the APS business and corresponding assets in responsible regions.
- Builds, develops and coaches a team of Sales Mangers, Account managers and NBD/ADTS managers. Member of the APS AFMEI management team, provides leadership across functions supporting simple solutions to solve complex problems providing business wide outcomes.
- Develops strong relationships with key stakeholders and builds an effective network. Key stakeholders include key customers and internal interfaces such as marketing, human resources, supply chain, credit, tax, legal and financial services.
- Develop, agree and implement the business strategies and policies for the relevant market application segments, value-differentiated products and corresponding assets of APS business in responsible regions
- Realize volume, profitability, fixed cost and EBITDA contribution for APS business in line with the agreed budget and long range plan.
- Lead commercial team to manage and develop properly the customer accounts and to be preferred supplier
- Monitor financial performance and payment discipline of the customer accounts and make sure overdues stay below agreed limit and credit limits are not exceeded.
- Support marketing & innovation team to promote and introduce new materials or new applications
- Actively manage business and product risks according to company policy. Regular training of commercial team and distributors.
- Lead commercial team to conduct the business in line with LYB's code of conduct and trade compliance policies.
- Lead and develop the commercial team and foster strong relationships with key interfaces. Define individual development plans for the team members.
Education:
University or college degree in Business Administration minimum bachelor preferably MBA or master degree in sciences or engineering.
Work Experience:
15 years of broad-based marketing, commercial, product/application and asset-focused experience in polyolefins including differentiated products
