ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct asset penetration testing to detect design and implementation weaknesses in our assets such as Applications Infrastructure, Utilities, Tools, and Services.
  • Perform APT on external-facing assets, assets with regulatory requirements, and assets with business requirements.
  • Extend the scope of APT to include internal application assessment.
  • Conduct APT annually, for major releases, and prior to Go-Live.
  • Follow the Testing Methodology - OWASP Top 10, OWASP Web Security Testing Guide, and NIST
  • Proactively demonstrate service efficiencies, both technically and commercially.
  • Attend scoping calls with our APT SPOC and application owners to discuss the scope of the test.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered during access validation and testing.
  • Conduct retests after vulnerability remediation and share retest reports.
  • Rate security vulnerability findings based on the relevant year OWASP risk rating model and our Internal Group Audit Risk Rating Grid.

EXPERIENCE/ Skill:

  • Experience in conducting asset penetration testing.
  • Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, OWASP Web Security Testing Guide, and NIST
  • Strong understanding of application infrastructure, utilities, tools, and services.
  • Ability to identify vulnerabilities and assess their impact and likelihood.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately.
  • Knowledge of risk management and change management approaches.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with application owners and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work during standard business hours and potentially during weekends/off-business hours if required.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent) – with a minor in Finance, Mathematics or Engineering preferred
