Job Profile

Purpose of Role

Responsible for the daily processing/supervision and control of the daily functions/transactions pertaining to the various products related to the department. Be seen as support to Head of Department in smooth and proper execution of operations of the Department. Supervise and oversee the teams development and provide training where required as proposed by the Head of Department to ensure high level of job knowledge and role coverage.

  • Provide user support to existing Microsoft Access based applications during transition to web based platform
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to solve issues in an ever-changing environment, with limited information in a cloud-based environment (Azure and AWS)
  • Prior experience of working with US stakeholders and working in US shift will be essential.
  • Understand the different environments and network connectivity, VDI, AVD, Laptop, Desktop, VPN
  • Solid IT background, with understanding of technology infrastructure (client/server-based applications), knowledge of mapping drives, Citrix, VDI, Active Directory (permissions and access issues), browser troubleshooting
  • Must be detailed oriented, organized, and have good follow through skills
  • Have a sense of responsibility, ownership, and urgency in all things you do
  • Be able to learn and understand business processes and procedures quickly, take notes and understand big picture as well as the smallest details
  • Be innovative and resourceful, liaising with all IT teams for support
  • Be able to document procedures and processes for all to understand
  • Be able to work with all levels of the organization across all divisions
  • Customer
  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders within MUFG.
  • Support and resolve customer enquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Work in partnership with Compliance to understand relevant operational guidelines, MUFGs standard procedures and local regulations and assess the impact on the daily operations workflow.
  • Work in partnership with the wider operations team for information sharing and to ensure that transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • To support developmental projects relating to the Department.

People

  • Provide guidance and support to more junior members of the team. Assist in the training and development of individuals to ensure high level of job knowledge

Other/Control

  • Support the Head of Department in determining the level of support on new MUFG product offerings by carrying out reviews on resourcing issues, internal policies, workarounds, and system capabilities.
  • Support the Head of Department in achieving the departments KPIs, set by the Branch Management.
  • Support in managing the risk profile for the department.
  • Support internal and external audits within the department by preparing documentation as required
  • Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws, and regulations.
  • Adhere to all company policies as well as guidelines

Candidate Profile

  • 8-12 years experience - Expert knowledge in VBA , Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, Word.
  • Proficient in SQL/DBA, writing stored procedures and administering SQL databases
  • L2 desktop support for bank users , for technical troubleshooting, preferably in cloud-based environment (Azure and AWS)
  • Must have excellent data analysis and data conversion skills (MS Access to SQL)
  • Knowledge of Data Warehouse tables and Business Objects reports a plus
  • Knowledge of PowerApps (Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BI) a plus
  • Knowledge of building utilities using VBScript, PowerShell, Python a plus
