Location – Remote
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining the ServiceNow platform to support business processes and deliver operational efficiency. This role requires technical expertise, a strong understanding of ServiceNow functionality, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the platform meets organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the ServiceNow platform, including user management, access controls, and system configurations.
- Configure and customize ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, Service Catalog, and Asset Management to align with business requirements.
- Perform platform upgrades, patch management, and cloning activities, ensuring minimal disruption and compatibility with existing configurations.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to ensure platform stability and reliability.
- Manage ServiceNow integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, or MID Server, ensuring seamless data flow.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, developers, and stakeholders to support requirements gathering and solution implementation.
- Develop and maintain platform documentation, including configuration details, standard operating procedures, and user guides.
- Implement and enforce ServiceNow best practices, security policies, and governance standards.
- Support end-user training and provide technical assistance to resolve platform-related issues.
- Stay updated on ServiceNow releases, features, and certifications to recommend enhancements and maintain platform currency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform administration, including ITSM, ITOM, or HR modules.
- Experience with ServiceNow configuration, including workflows, business rules, and UI policies.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow integrations (e.g., REST, SOAP, or MID Server).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification required; additional certifications (e.g., Certified Implementation Specialist) are a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API) for minor customizations.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow Performance Analytics or Flow Designer.
- Familiarity with database management and SQL for data queries in ServiceNow.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
