About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Manager/Manager - Data Science & Analytics to lead the business analytics and insights charter and partner with the leadership team on high-impact strategic decisions. The role demands a strong blend of analytical expertise, technical proficiency, and business understanding. The ideal candidate will help shape the organization’s data-driven decision-making by leveraging advanced analytics, ML models, and Generative AI to solve high-impact business problems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Business & Product Analytics: Drive analytical initiatives influencing strategic and operational decisions across functions.
  • Partner with CXOs and Business Heads to define KPIs, track business performance, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Build scalable and automated reporting systems, dashboards, and control-tower-like frameworks for real-time monitoring.
  • Drive experimentation and support ML initiatives - from feature design to model evaluation - for business-critical use cases (e.g., pricing, retention, RTO).
  • Explore and apply Generative AI techniques to automate workflows, enhance data storytelling, and discover new analytical use cases.
  • Mentor and guide a team of analysts and data scientists to deliver high-quality insights and business impact.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Tech, and SCM to translate business problems into analytical frameworks and solutions.
  • Evangelize data-driven culture and standardize analytics best practices across the organization.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Business Analytics, Product Analytics, Data Science, or Advanced Analytics, preferably in E-commerce / Consumer Tech.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and working directly with CXOs / Leadership on analytical and strategic projects.
  • Expert in SQL (complex query building, optimization) and strong proficiency in Python (data analysis, automation, model building).
  • Experience in building and deploying basic ML models such as Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forests, and Neural Networks.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI tools and frameworks (e.g., prompt engineering, LLM-based automation, content generation, or use-case ideation).
  • Proficient in data visualization / BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Metabase, etc.) and strong understanding of data pipelines and governance.
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to translate complex data into clear business narratives.

  • Strategic thinker with strong business orientation and an execution mindset.
  • Passion for innovation and curiosity to apply new-age AI technologies for solving business problems.
  • Ability to build, inspire, and scale a high-performing analytics team.
  • Prior experience in setting up data control towers or executive dashboards will be a plus.


Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • MBA or equivalent business understanding will be an added advantage.
