About the Role

Join Novasensa’s Clean Coal Innovation Team and work on dry coal separation systems that operate with zero water and zero chemicals. This internship focuses exclusively on coal preparation, washability, and dry beneficiation, giving you real-world exposure to next-generation clean-coal engineering.

About Novasensa

Novasensa is a deep-tech clean-energy company engineering the future of industrial sustainability through two core platforms:

  1. NovaFlow: Dry coal beneficiation – waterless, chemical-free technology to lower ash and emissions.
  2. NovaGenesis: Critical-mineral recovery – selective hydrometallurgical extraction for strategic materials.

Note: Novasensa also works in other verticals, but this internship is strictly for coal preparation and dry beneficiation.

What You’ll Work On

1. Coal Characterization & Evaluation

  • Conduct proximate, ultimate, and washability analysis.
  • Assess ash distribution, size fractions, and coal suitability for beneficiation.

2. Pilot Operations & Testing

  • Assist with test runs on dry coal separation equipment (air-based, XRT, or FGX systems).
  • Record and interpret performance data – throughput, yield, and ash reduction.

3. Technical Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain test data, SOPs, and process logs.
  • Prepare concise performance summaries and technical reports.

4. Regulatory & Engagement Support

  • Help with quality certification documentation and safety protocols.
  • Contribute to PSU and government tender preparation materials.



Who Should Apply

  • Students or recent graduates in Mining Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Mineral Processing, or Fuel Engineering.
  • Exposure to coal preparation, washability analysis, or beneficiation plants is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Keen interest in coal technology, plant operations, and industrial R&D.
  • Applications from e-waste, battery recycling, or chemical-engineering backgrounds will not be considered.


Explicit Exclusion: This role is not for e-waste, battery recycling, or hydrometallurgy. Applications outside mining, metallurgy, mineral processing, or coal preparation will not be considered.
