About the Role

Join Novasensa's
Clean Coal Innovation Team

About Novasensa

Novasensa is a deep-tech clean-energy company engineering the future of industrial sustainability through two core platforms:

  1. NovaFlow:
    Dry coal beneficiation – waterless, chemical-free technology to lower ash and emissions.
  2. NovaGenesis:

Note:
Novasensa also works in other verticals, but
this internship is strictly for coal preparation and dry beneficiation.

What You'll Work On

1. Coal Characterization & Evaluation

  • Conduct proximate, ultimate, and
    washability analysis
    .
  • Assess ash distribution, size fractions, and coal suitability for beneficiation.

2. Pilot Operations & Testing

  • Assist with test runs on
    dry coal separation
    equipment (air-based, XRT, or FGX systems).
  • Record and interpret performance data – throughput, yield, and ash reduction.

3. Technical Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain test data, SOPs, and process logs.
  • Prepare concise performance summaries and technical reports.

4. Regulatory & Engagement Support

  • Help with quality certification documentation and safety protocols.
  • Contribute to PSU and government tender preparation materials.

Who Should Apply

  • Students or recent graduates in
    Mining Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Mineral Processing, or Fuel Engineering.
  • Exposure to
    coal preparation, washability analysis, or beneficiation plants
    is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Keen interest in
    coal technology, plant operations, and industrial R&D.
  • Applications from e-waste, battery recycling, or chemical-engineering backgrounds will not be considered.
