Position Overview:

The Strategic Procurement – Domestic & International professional will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement operations, including sourcing, negotiation, vendor development, and international tie-ups. The role involves coordination with both domestic and overseas suppliers, handling import/export documentation, and ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement aligned with company and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement & Sourcing

• Source and procure materials, equipment, and services from domestic and international suppliers.

• Prepare RFQs, evaluate quotations, and perform commercial and technical bid comparisons.

• Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and payment terms to ensure cost efficiency.

• Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring on-time material availability.

1. Vendor Development & Management

• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for critical products and services.

• Conduct vendor audits and performance reviews based on quality, capacity, and delivery standards.

• Strengthen supplier relationships to ensure supply chain reliability and competitiveness.

• Collaborate with technical and quality teams for supplier assessment and qualification.

1. National & International Tie-ups

• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with domestic and international manufacturers, distributors, and trading firms.

• Support management in identifying potential global collaborations and sourcing alliances.

• Coordinate with overseas offices, agents, and partners for product sourcing and long-term agreements.

• Represent the company in vendor meetings, exhibitions, and trade events to explore new business tie-ups.

1. Import & Export Coordination

• Manage complete import/export documentation including LC, Bill of Lading, Invoice, Packing List, and Certificate of Origin.

• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs authorities, and clearing agents for smooth shipment execution.

• Ensure compliance with EXIM policies, customs regulations, and applicable INCOTERMS.

• Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely receipt of materials.

1. Logistics & Coordination

• Liaise with internal departments (Projects, Stores, Finance, and Quality) for material planning and requirement forecasting.

• Maintain efficient coordination between vendors, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders.

• Proactively address and resolve any supply chain delays or discrepancies.

1. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain updated records of vendors, purchase orders, price comparisons, and correspondence.

• Prepare regular MIS reports on purchase status, cost savings, and vendor performance metrics.

• Support internal and external audits by ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Supply Chain Management / Commerce / International Business or related field.

• Experience: 4–8 years in procurement, sourcing, and vendor development (domestic & international).

• Proven experience in vendor tie-ups, global collaborations, and supplier relationship management.

• Strong understanding of import/export operations, logistics, and trade compliance.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.s

Preferred Background:

• Experience in industrial procurement within Mining, Metallurgy, Engineering, or Infrastructure sectors.

• Exposure to international suppliers and agencies (China, Europe, USA, etc.).
