As a Health, Safety & Environment professional, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health & safety and environmental regulations, aiming to maintain a secure work environment and prevent accidents.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the plant team in identifying and correcting Unsafe Conditions and Acts.
  • Implement global HSE Standards at the plant.
  • Lead HSE initiatives and programs at the Plant.
  • Report HSE issues to Top Management to prevent business interruptions, personal injuries, and property loss.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable HSE Legal requirements.
  • Provide guidance on safety measures in job studies and conduct detailed safety assessments.
  • Organize evacuation drills and safety training for all employees.
  • Conduct plant safety inspections and audits to identify and address unsafe conditions.
  • Coordinate investigations of accidents and diseases.
  • Facilitate Safety Committees Meetings and safety-related activities.
  • Design and conduct training programs for injury prevention.

Role-Specific Competencies:

  • Head the safety department in a specific location.
  • Manage end-to-end safety activities.
  • Maintain facility organization and orderliness.
  • Effectively communicate hazards to all staff.
  • Adhere to basic safety protocols.
  • Utilize engineering controls where necessary.
  • Wear PPE as required.
  • Comply with regulations for handling high-hazard chemicals.
  • Prepares for accidents and emergencies.

Education Qualification:

. / B.E / DE with an Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety, preferably from a Regional Labour Institute.

Experience:

4 to 5 years of experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
