Role Purpose As a maintenance engineer responsible for gathering data from the shop floor, carrying out preventive maintenance activities, and conducting Root Cause Analysis for breakdown data. Ensuring 5S maintenance in utility and shop floor areas.

  • Provide support to the plant team to minimize breakdowns.
  • Manage critical spare parts.
  • Focus on increasing Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and reducing Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).
  • Identify unsafe acts and conditions, and take necessary steps to eliminate them.
  • Establish and uphold 5S standards in utility and shop floor areas.
  • Implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) in utility areas.
  • Oversee the execution of new projects.
  • Offer guidance on safety aspects during job studies, and participate in creating Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain Integrated Management System (IMS) documents.
  • Advise the purchasing and stores department to ensure high-quality and readily available spare parts.
  • Identify energy-wasting areas and develop plans for their elimination.
  • Conduct Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) training and safety toolbox talks for all employees, including Contractor Employees.
  • Provide recommendations for carrying out plant safety inspections and coordinate the investigation of reportable incidents.
  • Deliver technical training sessions.

Role Specific Competencies:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance activities.
  • Implement Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) and 5S practices.
  • Engage in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities.
  • Apply Why, Why Analysis methodologies.
  • Adhere to basic safety procedures.
  • Utilize engineering controls effectively.
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary.
  • Flexibility to work in 3 different shifts.
  • Experience with ISO documentation.
  • Familiarity with SAP software.
