Quidich Innovation Labs is a global company headquartered in Mumbai, India that pioneers in customized technology solutions for Sports Broadcast. From the outset, we have believed in the power of the story that sport tells as a tool to bring people together; and that this story best reaches fans, through the way it is broadcast. Building on this thinking, we have created various technology tools over the past five years and deployed them at tournaments such as the Indian Premier League, ICC Men's T20 World Cup, ICC Women's World Cup, and Men's FIH Hockey World Cup, to name a few.

Role

As a Manager of the People Team, you will play a crucial role in the organization. Quidich is at an exciting juncture, transitioning from a small, unorganised startup to a fast-paced, well-structured organisation. The People function plays a central role in this transition. An ideal candidate for the role will be multifaceted and have a combination of leadership, interpersonal, and strategic skills. As a Manager you will focus on achieving organizational objectives along with fostering a positive and productive work environment where employees can thrive. Your role will revolve around managing the individuals within the team to ensure productivity, engagement, and professional growth.

Responsibilities

1. Team Management:

  • Overseeing and managing the Talent Acquisition and HR Operations teams.
  • Providing strategic direction and mentorship to team members.
  • Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures to support the company's objectives.

2. Talent Acquisition:

  • Driving the recruitment strategy to attract top talent in the tech and sports broadcast industry.
  • Implementing innovative sourcing and hiring practices to build a diverse and inclusive workforce.
  • Collaborating with department heads to identify and fulfill staffing needs.

3. HR Operations:

  • Ensuring efficient and compliant HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations.
  • Maintaining and updating employee records in accordance with legal and company requirements.
  • Developing and overseeing performance management processes, employee engagement and retention practices.

4. Growth Strategies:

  • Designing and implementing people growth strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Creating and managing career development programs and succession planning.

5. Culture and Engagement:

  • Championing and enhancing the company culture, ensuring it reflects our values and mission.
  • Developing and executing initiatives to boost employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Leading efforts to maintain a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.

6. Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Managing and mitigate HR-related risks, including handling of employee grievances and disputes.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • 6 - 7 years into People function.
  • Experience of working with at least one young start up.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
