What the role involves

POSITION SUMMARY:

This senior sales position entails securing new business opportunities for World Courier, maintaining existing client relationships, and fostering new ones.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish sales and retention budgets in collaboration with Sales Manager/General Manager.
  • Proactively pursue and follow up on sales leads.
  • Negotiate contract terms with guidance from Sales Manager/General Manager.
  • Close sales deals successfully.
  • Achieve set budgets.
  • Implement marketing plans to drive revenue growth.
  • Enhance knowledge of all World Courier services.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, specifically within Biopharm for World Courier.
  • Report competitor activities to Sales Manager/General Manager.
  • Create business plans for targeted segments.
  • Resolve customer issues efficiently.
  • Establish effective communication channels with customers.
  • Maintain a customer relationship database.
  • Submit required sales reports regularly.
  • Engage in occasional promotional activities outside regular hours.
  • Cooperate with back-office staff to ensure top-notch customer service.
  • Maintain credit risk management.
  • Promote other World Courier services.
  • Adhere to directives from Sales Manager/General Manager.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Preferably a graduate degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of high-quality sales experience.
  • Experience in account-based sales preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for preparing proposals and reports.

REPORTING STRUCTURE:

  • Reports to National Sales Manager.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain cooperative relationships.
  • Strong presentation and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools and software.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or medical logistics sectors is advantageous.
