Floatex Solar is India's market leader in floating solar solutions. Our expertise in marine and offshore engineering allows us to design, supply, and install reliable floating solar plants for a wide range of water bodies.
Role OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Executive with proven solar industry experience to spearhead our floating solar sales efforts in India. This is an on-ground role that requires frequent travel to potential project sites, proactive client engagement, and the ability to represent Floatex professionally in all business settings.
Key Responsibilities- Market Development: Identify and visit potential floating solar deployment sites, including industrial facilities, reservoirs, and government-owned water bodies.
- Lead Management: Follow up on all incoming leads, queries, and tenders to ensure timely engagement.
- Client Meetings & Presentations: Arrange and attend meetings with clients, EPC contractors, government bodies, and utilities to present Floatex's solutions.
- Site Assessment: Conduct preliminary assessments of water bodies for floating solar feasibility, coordinating with the technical team.
- Pipeline Building: Develop and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline across target regions.
- Relationship Management: Build strong, long-term relationships with stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Reporting: Maintain records of visits, leads, and progress for weekly management reviews.
- Minimum 3 years of sales or business development experience in the solar industry (floating solar experience preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills in the solar ecosystem.
- Familiarity with tender processes, EPC workflows, and solar project lifecycles.
- Ability to travel extensively across India.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently.
