Reports to- Director of Operation

Location- Bangalore

The role will require a strategic view who will develop frameworks and effective ways of working on Integrated operations can build in the coming years. You will ensure that we fully integrate a continuous improvement culture in Operations and Supply Chain and develop it further through LEAN expertise and skills. With the ultimate goal to ensure best customer satisfaction, employee experience and company (financial) effectiveness. This role focusses on identifying areas of improvement, implementing Lean methodologies and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, optimize processes and implement digital technologies in Operations and Supply Chain.

Key responsibilities
  • Establish a clear vision, strategy, goals and targets for operational excellence initiatives.
  • Identify improvement opportunities through data analysis, process mapping and root cause analysis.
  • Drive digital transformation in manufacturing & supply chain related to data analytics, machine learning, process mining & artificial intelligence.
  • Lead and implement improvement projects through six sigma, lean tools, TPM, OEE, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping and Theory of constraints in operations. Train and educate employees on Lean tools.
  • Build change management frameworks & implement operational excellence standards across the organization
  • Drive continuous improvement culture across operations and ensure accountability through governance model.
  • Foster strong relationships and effective communication channels with stakeholders at all levels of organization.
  • Drive improvements projects related to productivity, efficiency, cost, safety, quality and sustainability and facilitate cross-functional teams to develop and implement improvement projects.
  • Lead and collaborate internal and external customers, stakeholders, vendors, and consultants to meet business targets.
  • Act as operational excellence SPOC in cross-functional project teams / excellent stakeholder management.
  • Responsible for implementation and sustenance of Kerry one plant system (1 KPS) in manufacturing.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to employees at all levels on lean methodologies and problem-solving techniques.
  • Build, refine and establish improved processes and ways of working to drive continuous improvement.

 

Qualifications and skills

 

Qualifications:

  •  10 years and above years of experience in operational excellence and/or continuous improvement leader and the ability to solve problems.

Experience Needed:

  • He/she must have Six Sigma Black Belt certification (preferable ASQ) and Certified lean expert. Strong knowledge on lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies and other improvement tools (5S, TPM, OEE, Kanban, Gemba etc).
  • He/she must have led and implemented digital transformation projects in manufacturing and supply chain. Business analytics/Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence experience and certification will be added advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends and make data driven decisions. Proficiency in using statistical analytics software and other relevant tools.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to motivate and influence people. The ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Aware of organizational, cultural group and/or interpersonal dynamics through attentive listening and ability to read the environment.
  • Proven leadership skills to coach and lead teams to fully deliver chartered objectives and projects that drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong continuous improvement project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines and drive results.
