What You'll Do

At BCG you will become a pivotal member of our team, working alongside some of the worldâs top minds on the forefront of climate and sustainability topics.

 

You will collaborate closely with team members from many backgrounds, advising clients across Public and private institutions/companies/industries on how to equitably achieve their net zero ambitions and reach their sustainability goals. Current openings span levels and depth of expertise, meaning the type of work you will focus in could vary.
Leveraging your experience, you will develop industry-leading solutions to help our clients succeed. In this unique role, we are looking for someone who can:

⢠Develop current and insightful perspectives on the market , policies, regulations for various renewable energy sectors (e.g wind, solar, storage, both utility-scale and C&I behind-the-meter), including an understanding of fundamental demand and supply drivers, pricing outlook, competitive landscape, and indicative investment returns.
⢠Conduct complex strategy projects that evaluate opportunities for organizations to evaluate whether to enter various renewable energy markets and how to optimally participate across the renewable energy value chain.
⢠Help clients identify, prioritize, select, and test key initiatives to improve performance and help gain alignment to ensure success
⢠Educate teams and clients on the economic impact of key Policies and regulations including those of carbon markets and incentives governing the renewable energy, utility, and transportation infrastructure and carbon space and monitor potential changes in key markets.
⢠Explain recent trends and potential developments in commercial and financial structures supporting renewable energy transactions Including knowledge on start ups in the RE space across value chains including those of digital infrastructure and AI.
⢠Evaluate alternative technologies involved in the manufacture, project delivery and operations of different renewable energy sectors.
⢠Participate and lead efforts to codify insights, tools, and frameworks
⢠Actively support our business development efforts and broader efforts to promote external awareness
⢠Understand and track how corporate customer purchase renewables through various mechanisms like corporate vPPAs, green utility tariffs, 24/7 contracts, etc.

 

BCG Experts are integrated into a BCG team and leverage deep expertise on projects that reshape businesses. They are given end-to-end responsibility for large and complex âmodulesâ within a BCG project, may lead small but high-impact teams to drive results for our clients, and contribute to BCGâs intellectual capital. They work closely with clients to understand their issues, create strategies for change, and win buy-in for recommendations, while also collaborating with colleagues on complex client issues.

 

BCG Project Leaders and Principals lead case teams, engage with and present to senior clients, direct projects to define client needs, manage project scoping and work module development, supervise research activities, and participate in business development. They oversee the formulation of hypotheses for research and investigation, as well as advanced analysis to identify opportunities. Project Leaders and Principals are also responsible for continuously developing the firmâs knowledge and capabilities and play a key role in the development and maintenance of high-level client relationships.

The Expert Consulting Track (ECT) is vital to BCGâs ability to successfully meet our clientsâ demand for deep expertise and advanced technical capabilities. Experts deliver next-level impact for BCG's most complex and cutting-edge client challenges. Experts focus on developing BCG's thought leadership, commercial capabilities, and intellectual property assets; and their work is essential to our delivery model. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to bring the âbest of BCGâ to our clients, Experts come from diverse backgrounds, with expertise often gained outside of BCG in industry, academia, or specialized consulting.

What You'll Bring

⢠5+ years renewable power development and Renewable Energy Procurement consulting and/or industry experience
⢠Knowledge of key topics in one or more of: utility-scale, C&I, renewable energy value chain, renewable energy, utility, and transportation infrastructure, carbon space analysis
⢠Ability to develop leading edge business models, frameworks for analysis, and long-term business strategies that maximize shareholder value.
⢠As appropriate based on tenure, proven ability to manage client engagements, client relationships, and provide âthought leadershipâ to teams, owning the responsibility for the quality of engagements. A combination of management and âhands onâ delivery experience is critical
⢠Excellent communication skills; able to explain complex industry concepts in non-technical terms
