What You'll Do

You will have a critical role in driving the growth of ESG topics through case execution, client development, and creation of intellectual property and products. You will be responsible for Sustainability strategies to solve environmental and societal needs while help companies win and widen their opportunity space to create value and competitive advantage.

Working alongside some of the worldâs top minds in Climate & Sustainability, you will also collaborate with diverse team members to advise clients across industries on how to equitably achieve their net zero ambitions and sustainability goals. Current openings span various levels and depth of expertise, offering a diverse range of work and projects to focus on.

Leveraging your experience, you will develop industry-leading solutions to help our clients succeed by:

At BCG, Experts are integrated into a BCG team and leverage deep expertise on projects that reshape businesses. They are given end-to-end responsibility for large and complex âmodulesâ within a BCG project, may lead small but high-impact teams to drive results for our clients, and contribute to BCGâs intellectual capital. They work closely with clients to understand their issues, create strategies for change, and win buy-in for recommendations, while also collaborating with colleagues on complex client issues.

BCG Project Leaders and Principals lead case teams, engage with and present to senior clients, direct projects to define client needs, manage project scoping and work module development, supervise research activities, and participate in business development. They oversee the formulation of hypotheses for research and investigation, as well as advanced analysis to identify opportunities. Project Leaders and Principals are also responsible for continuously developing the firmâs knowledge and capabilities and play a key role in the development and maintenance of high-level client relationships.

Our Expert Consulting Track

 

The Expert Consulting Track (ECT) is vital to BCGâs ability to successfully meet our clientsâ demand for deep expertise and advanced technical capabilities. Experts deliver next-level impact for BCG's most complex and cutting-edge client challenges. Experts focus on developing BCG's thought leadership, commercial capabilities, and intellectual property assets; and their work is essential to our delivery model. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to bring the âbest of BCGâ to our clients, Experts come from diverse backgrounds, with expertise often gained outside of BCG in industry, academia, or specialized consulting.

What You'll Bring

⢠5+ years experience in leading and implementing ESG or sustainability strategies, ideally within consulting or advisory role
⢠Knowledge of ESG principles, frameworks (e.g. SASB, GRI), measurement and ratings, financing and concepts, integration and reporting, and relevant regulations
⢠Strong understanding of specific industry sectors and their ESG challenges
⢠Proven track record in end-to-end transformations on material ESG topics, that include and is not limited to leading edge business models, frameworks for analysis, and long-term business strategies that maximize shareholder value
⢠Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex industry concepts in clear and non -technical terms
⢠A strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
⢠As appropriate based on tenure, ability to manage client engagements, client relationships, and provide âthought leadershipâ to teams, owning the responsibility for the quality of engagements â a combination of management and âhands onâ delivery experience is critical
