Practice Area

 

Digital technologies are fundamentally reshaping both consumer demand and competitive dynamics at unprecedented rates within the consumer industry. BCGâs consumer practice helps clients respond to industry disruption by redefining their channel strategies, transforming their organizations, and seizing competitive advantage. The practice serves clients across four main sectors - Consumer Products, Retail, Travel & Tourism, and Fashion & Luxury - and each of the four sectors covers a range of sub-industries and functional topics.


What You'll Do

As a member of BCG's Consumer Practice, you will work with companies across consumer goods companies (including consumer tech) to drive substantial change and transformation. Our practice leverages deep industry knowledge and analytics to deliver impactful strategies that address the complex challenges faced by consumer-focused businesses.

 

As a Project Leader in BCG's Consumer Practice, you will:

  • Lead and manage diverse project teams, delivering strategic solutions and operational improvements to clients in the consumer goods and technology sectors.
  • Engage in project management, including planning, budgeting, and oversight, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to client satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with key client stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing engagements.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering an environment of growth and development within the practice.
  • Drive the creation and refinement of intellectual capital, contributing to thought leadership and operational tools that enhance our practiceâs market impact.


What You'll Bring

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience, including significant time spent in consulting roles.
  • Strong project management skills and experience leading teams in a client-facing environment, preferably a tenured manager in his/her current role with a proven track record within consulting or top-tier industry companies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the consumer sector, with experience in consumer tech, consumer products, consumer goods, fashion, luxury, and retail.
  • Must have substantial experience working in or with Indian markets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English; additional local language skills are preferable.
  • Flexible, creative, and curious, able to innovate and propose new ideas, exercise independent judgment, and thrive in diverse team settings.
  • Strong academics from a top-tier institution. An MBA is desirable but not essential.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and to work remotely on client sites.
