Fairfest’s flagship travel event is OTM, which is well-recognised as India’s leading travel event and is the largest B2B travel show in the Asia-Pacific region.


We are seeking an Association Manager to lead our advocacy and social work initiatives in the areas of tourism and wildlife conservation. You will be responsible for spearheading outreach programs, influencing public policy, and building partnerships that advance our mission of promoting responsible tourism. As our present focus area is promoting tourism in the Terai region, candidates from and/or with familiarity of the landscape will be preferred.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Advocacy and Outreach: Lead advocacy efforts to promote sustainable tourism and wildlife conservation, engaging with government bodies, NGOs, industry stakeholders, and the public to drive positive change.
  • Program Development: Design, implement, and manage conservation and tourism-related programs that align with our mission and values.
  • Partnership Building: Build and nurture partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, industry leaders, and community groups to advance our conservation and tourism objectives.
  • Policy Influence: Participate in policy discussions and represent Fairfest Media in various forums, contributing insights to shape policies that support sustainable tourism and conservation efforts.
  • Community Engagement: Work closely with communities to educate, involve, and empower them in conservation and responsible tourism practices.
  • Event Coordination: Collaborate with the events team to integrate conservation themes into Fairfest’s trade shows, enhancing awareness among exhibitors and attendees.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Track the progress of initiatives, prepare impact reports, and present findings to stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Tourism, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in advocacy, non-profit management, or social work, particularly in tourism or wildlife conservation.
  • Strong understanding of the tourism industry and conservation challenges.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and navigate complex policy environments.
  • Passion for wildlife conservation, sustainable tourism, and making a positive impact.
