The Sr. HRIS Workday Manager is responsible for the overall architecture, implementation, and support of all modules of the
Workday system with the goal of providing excellent system reliability, performance, availability and overall system optimization.
The incumbent will also be responsible for the ongoing support of the system upon deployment. In this role, the incumbent will be
the primary Workday technical contact for the HR and Payroll functions and will provide project leadership and governance to
ensure the successful deployment of the Workday ecosystem.
Work Experience
1. 5+ years of experience configuring different modules in Workday and 2+ years as a Workday Implementation Manager
2. Proven ability to lead, organize, and plan the Workday implementation and development through deployment
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for leading and facilitating the design and architecture of all aspects of the Workday system. Ensure
compliance with established standards and best practices.
2. Manage, develop, and consult with the technical resources across teams for methods, procedures, and standards to use during the design, development, and unit testing phases of the project life cycle
3. Provide technical leadership to the project team by evaluating and proposing technical alternatives for resolving business and technology issues. Review proposed changes to identify opportunities for reuse and process improvement.
4. Work closely with the System Integrator as well as other vendors that contribute to the overall HRIS application and infrastructure landscape, including managing escalations to management as appropriate
5. Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies
6. Review feedback from stakeholders and implement solutions that work best for the team
7. Identify GAPs in business requirements during early stages of the project
8. Ensure there is proper documentation across the design that meets organization and audit guidelines
9. Support the Workday system by overseeing the configuration moves through the environments, scheduling of batch jobs and reports, and contributing to the maintenance of the Workday system to ensure business continuity
10. Routinely review, plan, and apply the Workday upgrades and ensure the system is kept updated with optional changes
11. Plans, coordinates and reviews work assignments across all the Workday system configuration analysts
12. Support continuous improvement, succession planning and growth of team members by driving cross functional training across the different Workday modules
