JOB PURPOSE

Plan, develop and monitor revenue targets, marketing, and pricing strategies; develop brand awareness and consideration for all properties through various market segments to achieve profitability while meeting desired customer satisfaction / loyalty scores.

Note – This position is a strategic role for Sales and Marketing function of the entire Group.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


Accountabilities

Drive the Sales and Marketing function so as to achieve the business objectives in terms of overall sales revenue, occupancy, future business development across identified market segments.

Formulates and guides the implementation of long- and short-range Strategic Sales & Marketing plans to generate demand properties of the Group as a whole.

Providing market intelligence related to the travel and tourism market and making recommendations on pricing, channel, and marketing strategy for existing and new properties.

Collaborating and providing directions to Cluster Sales teams to drive revenue for profit centers.

Establishes criteria to measure short and long-term growth and regularly evaluates results against desired performance standards.

Utilize data analytics and metrics to evaluate options and make business decisions in the area related to existing processes and competition, general matters related to hospitality industry.

Ensure continuous improvement in Customer Satisfaction / Loyalty indices in order to maintain MAYFAIR’s premium brand positioning.

Creating brand awareness for each property by working closely with the marketing team.

Maintaining key customer relationships and developing strategies for expanding reach within the current customer base.

Building relationships with Sales teams, industry leaders, community leaders, and business leaders.

Developing and implementing training programs on sales, company, and brand standards.

Leading and supporting all sales related activities, sales presentations, product training, tradeshows, and seminar participation.

Guest Satisfaction Index

No of Sales promotion events.

B2B Sales pitch.

Ensure systems and processes for Sales and Marketing are being continuously improved and excelled upon so that overall business is sustainable and scalable in the long term.

Adopting best practices in Sales processes for both B2B and B2C community for overall operational excellence.

Planning and developing novel marketing strategies including digital marketing and e-commerce.

Working with customer facing departments to continually develop awareness of customer’s needs and expectation and review process improvements implemented in these areas.

Encourage innovation in the areas of customer delight and monitor the different initiatives in these areas.

IV Develop a capable and motivated workforce, which would deliver the Sales and Profitability targets and Marketing agenda for the company.

Ensure proper staffing in identified critical areas of responsibility – Sales, Marketing promotion and communication etc. - in consultation with the business Leaders and the HR team.

Attract, develop and retain Talent to support growth needs of the business.

Ensure to develop and build a succession pipeline.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Educational Qualifications

Graduation in Hospitality from a reputed institute in India or abroad.

MBA/Post Graduate diploma in Business Management with Marketing specialization from a reputed institute.


Relevant and total years of Experience

20+ years of total experience in Sales and Marketing functions in premier hotels and resorts.

5 to 6 years in leading the core function for a reputed Hotel Group.
