Job Summary:

The Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) Training Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs for staff in a fast-paced quick service restaurant environment. This role ensures that all employees receive the necessary training to perform their duties effectively and uphold the company’s standards for service, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Program Development: Design and develop comprehensive training programs for new hires, including onboarding procedures, and ongoing development programs for existing staff.
  • Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions and workshops on various topics such as customer service, food safety, operational procedures, and company policies.
  • Material Creation: Create and maintain training materials, manuals, and online resources to support staff learning and development.
  • Performance Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, evaluations, and performance metrics; make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all training programs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with restaurant managers and staff to identify training needs and tailor programs to address specific challenges and objectives.
  • Mentoring and Coaching: Provide one-on-one coaching and support to staff members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Reporting: Track and report on training progress and results; prepare reports for senior management on training effectiveness and areas for improvement.
  • Technology Integration: Utilize training technologies and tools to enhance learning experiences and streamline training processes.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Promote a customer-centric approach in training to ensure high standards of service and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a training role, preferably within the quick service restaurant industry.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of QSR operations, including food safety standards, customer service best practices, and operational efficiency.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to design engaging training materials and programs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in food safety or training may be preferred.
