Join us in transforming the event management and catering industry with our dynamic project, EventCRM. This innovative solution tackles challenges like manual coordination, communication gaps, and task management. We're seeking a seasoned enterprise sales professional to join our founding team as an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) - Sales. In this role, you'll take the lead in driving business development and sales, exceeding targets and expanding our market reach.

  • Compensation: 8 - 10 LPA + 10% ESOPs in Event CRM
  • Mindset: Get shit done (hustler)


Role Overview:


We are seeking an experienced EIR - Sales to join our EventCRM project team. The EIR will take ownership of generating prospects, qualifying leads and selling. An ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the event management and catering industry, with a wide network of key players to leverage in driving sales.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Sales Development: Generate leads through proactive outreach, networking, and leveraging existing contacts.
  2. Share Insights for Product Development: Collect detailed insights from customers and effectively communicate them to the product teams for informed decision-making and product improvements.
  3. Customer Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with prospects and customers, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed throughout the sales process.
  4. Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline effectively, tracking leads, opportunities, and deals through each stage.
  5. Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations, prepare proposals, and close deals to achieve sales targets.
  6. Metrics and Reporting: Monitor sales metrics such as conversion rates, revenue growth, and customer acquisition costs. Provide regular reports and insights to inform decision-making.


Qualifications:


  1. 6-8 years of experience with sales in the events/catering industry, and preferably an MBA.
  2. Industry Knowledge: Prior understanding of or experience with the catering and event management industry, with a strong network of industry contacts and relationships.
  3. Proven Sales Experience: Demonstrated success in sales, primarily in the events and catering industry, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  4. Leadership and Collaboration: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  5. Customer-Centric Approach: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers, understanding their needs and delivering solutions.
  6. Experience with Salesforce.com, Google suite of productivity applications (Gmail, Gcalendar, Sheets, Slides, Docs), Notion and Slack.
