Job Overview
The Manager - Institutional Sales will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with colleges and universities to promote and sell customized job-oriented courses to their students in Kerala. This role demands a strategic and driven individual with proven experience in the educational sales sector, particularly with a strong network and rapport with academic institutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. **Develop and Implement Sales Strategies:**
- Create and execute effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Identify and target potential colleges and universities for partnership opportunities.
2. **Relationship Management:**
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers at educational institutions.
- Ensure continuous engagement with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored course solutions.
3. **Sales Presentations and Meetings:**
- Conduct presentations and meetings with college and university authorities to showcase the benefits of customized job-oriented courses.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales pitches to influence and convince stakeholders.
4. **Market Research and Analysis:**
- Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the educational sector.
- Analyze competitors’ offerings and strategize to position the company's courses effectively.
5. **Collaboration with Internal Teams:**
- Work closely with the course development team to ensure the courses meet the needs of the target institutions.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns aimed at the educational sector.
6. **Negotiation and Deal Closure:**
- Negotiate contract terms with colleges and universities to close deals.
- Ensure all agreements are mutually beneficial and align with the company’s business goals.
7. **Reporting and Documentation:**
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, client interactions, and agreements.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, market insights, and progress towards targets.
8. **Customer Support and Follow-up:**
- Provide post-sales support to ensure client satisfaction and address any issues or concerns.
- Follow up regularly with institutions to ensure continuous engagement and repeat business.
#### Required Qualifications
- **Education:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field. A Master’s degree would be an advantage.
- **Experience:**
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in institutional sales, preferably within the education sector.
- Proven track record of successful sales achievements and building strong client relationships.
- Extensive network and rapport with college and university authorities.
- **Skills:**
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to understand and address client needs with customized solutions.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- **Attributes:**
- Highly motivated and target-driven with a passion for sales.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively to meet clients.
