Senior Pre-Sales Manager

The Senior Pre-Sales Manager will work closely with the sales team to drive deal closures by providing technical value to prospects. This role is responsible for configuring the product, resolving technical challenges, and setting up integrations. The position demands engagement from the initial customer interaction to the handover phase for implementation and operations.
The role bridges the gap between sales, product development, and operations, ensuring customer needs are accurately captured and addressed through tailored solutions, ultimately driving business growth.
Role Purpose:- Act as the technical and commercial liaison between Sales, Operations, and Project Management.
- Provide in-depth technical and commercial design documentation to facilitate smooth transitions from bid to delivery.
- Own the solution design to ensure the ‘right first time’ approach.
Client Engagement:
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify and document customer requirements.
- Conduct scoping, discovery, and proposal review sessions with prospects and internal teams.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to the customer’s business needs.
- Provide written or video responses to RFPs and clarify technical queries from prospects.
Solution Design and Documentation:
- Develop and articulate technical solution options, risks, costs, and recommendations.
- Align the solution with the customer’s business workflows and objectives.
- Scope, document, and present technical solutions and proposals to clients.
- Manage solution timelines, work breakdown structures (WBS), estimates, and proposals.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work with product development and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment of the solution with product capabilities.
- Assist the sales team in preparing and finalizing solution proposals.
- Coordinate with internal teams to identify the proper modules and overall solution pricing.
- Oversee internal training for new functionalities to ensure team readiness.
Continuous Improvement:
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of product offerings, versions, and updates.
- Support the product management team in incorporating feedback into product roadmaps.
- Drive process improvements and foster cross-functional communication.
- Strong customer relationship management and consultative selling skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation abilities.
- Proven ability to conduct effective needs analysis and align solutions to business objectives.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience with complex, value-based selling strategies.
- Detail-oriented with a quality-driven mindset.
- Minimum Experience: 6+ years in ERP implementation or pre-sales consulting.
- Previous experience in a consulting or architecture role within software/services companies.
- Track record of collaborating with diverse teams to achieve business goals.
- Strong understanding of technical specifications, business processes, and product configurations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Master’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
