About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and target-oriented Senior Business Development Executive / Senior Lead Generation Executive to join our growing sales team. The role focuses on outbound prospecting, lead generation through cold calling, and outreach to clients across industries, identifying business opportunities to drive revenue growth. In addition to these core responsibilities, you will also mentor and lead a small sales team, contributing to their professional development and enhancing overall team performance.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting and Research
- Generate leads using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, industry databases, and other tools.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of potential customers and key decision-makers.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities.
Initial Outreach and Lead Generation
- Execute targeted outreach through personalized emails, phone calls, and social media messages.
- Apply a multi-channel engagement approach to interact with prospects effectively.
- Ensure lead follow-ups and nurture relationships with potential clients.
Lead Nurturing and Qualification
- Use frameworks such as BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) to qualify leads.
- Conduct discovery calls to assess client requirements and evaluate fit.
- Move leads through the funnel until they are ready for a sales conversation.
Appointment Setting
- Schedule discovery meetings or product demos with the sales team.
- Ensure smooth handover of qualified leads to the appropriate sales personnel.
New Business Development
- Collaborate with the sales team to explore new markets and increase revenue opportunities.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and industry players.
Team Leadership and Mentorship
- Lead, manage, and mentor a small team of outbound sales professionals.
- Set performance targets and monitor progress toward achieving sales goals.
- Provide training and feedback to enhance the team’s skills and productivity.
Qualifications
- 3-4 years of experience in B2B sales, with expertise in lead generation through cold calls, emails, and outreach.
- Industry experience in manufacturing, Information Technology & Services, or EdTech preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Sales and Marketing (BBA / B.Com), or a related field (preferred).
- Proven ability in business development and generating new lead generation streams.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales tools.
- Goal-oriented, resilient, and persistent in achieving targets.
