Position Summary:


New American Funding (NAF) is a mortgage lender offering an array of loan options. Established in 2003 and headquartered in Tustin, CA, United States, NAF has 3,640 + strong workforce across 190 branches and a servicing portfolio of 247,470+ loans and $65.3 Billion.


The Investor Reporting Analyst’s primary role is to calculate and send remittances for Fannie Mae, Ginnie Mae, Freddie Mac, New American Funding, and other private investors.


Responsibilities:

• Calculate daily and monthly remittance amounts for investors.

• Compare and correct discrepancies between the servicing system and investor data.

• Review system reports to ensure accurate investor cutoff data. Make corrections if necessary.

• Perform pool to security reconciliations.

• Identify remittance overages and shortages and take appropriate steps to clear variances.

• Monitor P&I custodial accounts to ensure no overdrafts occur.

'• Update department policies and procedures as needed.

• Submit wire/funds transfer requests to the Cash Management team for daily and monthly remittances.

• Understand Fannie Mae, Ginnie Mae, and Freddie Mac servicing guidelines as it relates to investor reporting/reconciliation.

• Understand pooling and servicing agreements.

• Investigate, research, and provide timely resolution to investor issues and reporting exceptions.

• Research operational, reporting or data issues and present solutions or process improvements to management for review and approval.

• Provides a high level of customer service and ensure overall investor satisfaction.

• Complete ad hoc requests as directed by management.

• Provide analytical solution support for all investor reporting/reconciliation concerns.

• Assist in other areas of Servicing as needed.

• Perform monthly analysis of Servicing account activity including but not limited to Corporate Advances, Escrow Advances, Ancillary Fees and other cash activity related to servicing operations.

• Ensure no reconciling items age beyond investor guidelines.

• Support analysis and reporting requests by management.


Core Competencies:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong pc skills. Must be proficient in MS outlook, MS office suite (access & excel), and SQL.

• Problem solving - identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyses information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations, uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

• Interpersonal - maintains confidentiality.

• Handle simultaneous tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment. Able to work independently
