Role – Head of Marketing

Location – Kolkata/ Bangalore



mPokket is a rapidly growing and well-funded fintech startup in the lending domain. We offer small ticket loans, along with employability solutions, to the low-income youth via our mobile app. Started in 2016, mPokket is today among the top 5 fintech lenders in India, having disbursed more than Rs.14,000 crore to 50 lakh borrowers across 19000+ pin codes in India. As we look to scale the business another 10x-20x over the next few years, we are looking for ambitious and talented individuals who want to be part of this amazing journey.


Responsibilities :

  • You will lead the strategic planning and daily execution of acquisition and retention marketing activities, as well as owning the overall customer treatment from their initial awareness of the mPokket brand, into the considerations funnel, and through to conversion and then retention
  • You will need to create a marketing strategy across multiple offline and online channels and build a team to execute on the strategy
  • You will need to keenly measure and track all relevant metrics to measure effectiveness and impact and be familiar with various tools used to analyze and visualize data

You will need determine the right trade-off between in-house and outsourced expertise and find the right partners to whom specialized marketing functions can be outsourced

Requirements :

  • You have 15+ years of consumer marketing experience, preferably digital
  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably with a specialization in marketing
  • You love data and analytics and understand how to use complex customer and transaction data to inform acquisition and retention
  • You have been a part of fast-growing consumer or e-commerce business that has gone from zero to millions of MAUs
  • You know how to create acquisition loops through SEO, UGC, referral, and paid media
  • You are a self-starter and work independently and effectively with little oversight
  • You are excited about the opportunity to work very hard (we love what we do and it expands beyond 9-5) in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with high energy to build something incredible
  • You can think out of the box to develop new and innovative marketing strategies
  • You can get more done with less, and don't necessarily need big budgets to deliver
  • You have extensive experience working with different acquisition and retention tools (Appsflyer, Branch MoEngage etc)
