Summary

Position Summary

The Global Hotel and Field Support Specialist will act as tier 1 support for the Global Hotel and Field Support Analysts. Specialists will primarily be responsible for managing and supporting the processes and procedures utilized by the analysts, including related established standards. Specialists have a consistent history of providing support, showing aptitude for special projects and demonstrating thorough understanding of various systems and related interfaces. Individuals in this role must possess creativity for tackling new projects and understand how to architect inventory/rate structures for optimum execution.

Position Responsibilities

Uses problem-solving skills to analyze system problems or revenue-impacting situations and thinks abstractly to solve them. Maintains multi-system and program knowledge to provide high-level analysis, consultation, and support to hotel staff, Hyatt colleagues and third-party partners. Handles specialized responsibilities including new hotel builds and non-standard/complicated hotel rate/inventory interfaces (MGM/SLH, multi-unit suite, All Inclusives, etc.) Assists in developing, writing, and reviewing internal processes, procedures, and QRGs. Contributes to global rate SOP development by collaborating with peripheral teams in providing Distribution Services specific rate information. Assists Distribution Service Leadership in determining best approach and best practices in executing new initiatives. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of department processes/procedures along with protocols for enforcement/escalation when final decision is necessary. Possesses strong communication skills both written and verbal paired with the ability to identify the most appropriate method or channel for the given circumstance. Ability to identify innovation or technology opportunities which could leverage efficiencies. Relay complex system information in an easily understood and usable format Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values. Requires technical expertise and in depth business knowledge of Distribution Services applications and systems: Reserve/Spirit, Lanyon, GDS, RMT, WALT High School diploma (or equivalent) Exposure to formal post-secondary education is a plus. 1+ years’ experience with general Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) applications- intermediate to advanced to advanced proficiency preferred. Minimum 12 months experience with the Hyatt reservation system, Reserve, is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to the smallest of detail. Identifies and effectively communicates opportunities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Eagerness to support and assist team members. Reliable and dependable Cognitive ability to learn and process new information and choose appropriate action. Able to identify priorities and execute deadlines.
