  • Florida/Arizona/Remote:$71.00/HR
  • Alabama/Colorado/Texas:$77/HR
  • Washington/California/Virginia:$84.00/HR
Fluids/Mechanical DesignEngineer Tubing (200 tubes to release in 2months)

Responsibilities:
  • Design ofvarious pressure vessel types and shapes to accommodate vehiclespace allocation and integration envelope.
  • Design of fluid lines and flex elements for cryogenic andspace application.
  • Drawing generationincluding tolerance and GD&T setup.
  • Ownership of design release cycle including drawingsrelease and DFM reviews.
  • Analysis of primaryand secondary spacecraft pressure vessels
  • Integration of structural analysis with loads anddynamics environments
  • Finite Element Modeldevelopment refinement validation and correlation totests
  • Strength checks and analysis reportgeneration
  • Test and verification plan andreport generation
  • Support configurationdevelopment and trade studies
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical Aerospace or CivilEngineering
  • 45 years of experience in theprediction/validation of low and highfrequency structural dynamicsand loads in addition to finite element modeling
  • A solid foundation of structural static/dynamicfundamentals
  • Passion for spacecraftstructural/environmental loads development/validation
  • Ability to solve a variety of static and dynamicstructural problems using physicsbased analytical methods (handcalculations inhouse tools and 3rd party commercial analyticaltools)
  • Ability to earn trust maintain positiveand professional relationships and contribute to a culture ofinclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or nationalU.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder) or lawfullyadmitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Experience with aircraft spacecraft launchvehicles or automotive in some of the following areas:
  • External loads
  • Vibroacoustic analysis
  • ThermalLoading
  • Analysis using Nastran Ansys AbaqusLSDyna or Optistruct

Preferred Qualifications:
  • COPV Pressure Vessel design and analysis
  • Metallic Pressure Vessel design and analysis
  • Fluids Lines design and analysis
  • Flex Elements design and analysis
  • Composite design and analysis skills in any thermosetthermoplastic metal matrix and ceramic matrix composites
  • Manufacturing methods material selection testingcharacterization & allowable development
  • Experience testing materials joints components andvehicles
  • Structural optimization usingstandard industry codes (Optistruct HyperSizer Nastran Sol 200etc)
  • Experience with ProEngineer Wildfire 4 /Creo Parametric or greater
  • Experience withProEngineer Wildfire 4 / Creo Parametric or greater piping /routing module
  • Experience with Humanspaceflight
  • Experience withcomposites
  • Experience with AIAA S080 andS081
  • Experience with EJMA Ninth and TenthEdition
