Position: Dean of Academic Affairs

Key Responsibilities:


1. Academic Leadership:

- Provide visionary leadership aligned with the institution's mission.

- Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance academic offerings.

2. Curriculum Development:

- Oversee development and revision of programs, ensuring relevance.

- Foster continuous improvement in teaching and learning.

3. Faculty Development:

- Support recruitment, development, and retention of high-quality faculty.

- Encourage faculty scholarship and professional development.

4. Student Success:

- Implement strategies to enhance student success and retention.

- Collaborate with support services to address academic challenges.

5. Accreditation and Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.

- Coordinate preparation of accreditation reports.

6. Budget and Resource Management:

- Develop and manage academic affairs budget effectively.

- Seek external funding opportunities to enhance academic offerings.

7. Collaboration and Communication:

- Foster collaboration across departments.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders.

8. Innovation and Technology:

- Promote integration of technology and innovative teaching methods.

9. Academic Leadership (Continued):

- Undertake collective visioning to promote excellence.

- Foster a congenial atmosphere among colleagues.

10. Faculty Administration:

- Oversee administration of the faculty.

- Manage faculty budget and resources effectively.

11. Outreach:

- Build and strengthen relationships with governments and other universities.

- Elevate faculty visibility at international, national, and regional forums.

- Develop meaningful relationships with alumni.

Qualification and Experience:

- Ph.D. qualification(s) in the relevant discipline.

- Minimum 15 years of teaching or research experience.

- Eminent scholar with a strong research track record.

- Experience in educational innovation and curriculum design.

- Demonstrated leadership and commitment to diversity.
