Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Dean of CSE & IT to join EASA College of Engineering & Technology in Coimbatore. As a key executive position, the Dean will be responsible for overseeing the Computer Science and Information Technology departments. This is a full-time role requiring 10 to 30 years of relevant work experience.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in the field of Computer Science or Information Technology (Mandatory skill).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team.
  • Hands-on experience in strategic planning and the ability to steer the department towards achieving academic and operational goals.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in academic administrations, such as accreditation, faculty recruitment, and student affairs.
  • Proficient in curriculum development, ensuring courses stay current with technological advances.
  • Expertise in faculty management, including mentoring, evaluating performance, and fostering professional development.
  • Significant research oversight experience, with a strong background in guiding faculty and students in research initiatives.
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for collaboration across multiple departments and external partnerships.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide visionary leadership and direction for the Computer Science and Information Technology departments.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the departments' academic programs, research output, and overall reputation.
  • Oversee academic administration tasks including accreditation processes, faculty recruitment, and student admissions.
  • Ensure an updated and dynamic curriculum that meets industry standards and prepares students for future technological challenges.
  • Manage and mentor faculty members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Supervise departmental budgets and resources, ensuring optimal utilization for academic and research purposes.
  • Promote and facilitate cutting-edge research initiatives, securing funding, and publishing significant findings.
  • Build relationships with industry leaders, academic institutions, and government bodies to enhance collaborative opportunities.
