Job Title: Purchase Coordinator Department:
Commercial supporting Operations
Reports to: Manager PPC (Production planning and controller )
Job Summary:
Assist the Procurement Manager to purchase goods or services for the organization whether for internal use or for Job contracting to agencies, ensures Operations & facilities obtains quality products for competitive prices in a timely fashion. Plays an integral role in ensuring a company sticks to budgets and operates profitably. Assist the Procurement manager for the overall procurement plan and strategies for the organization including shipping / Logistics coordination
Job Key Responsibilities:
Liaise with key company employees with approved Indents to determine their products and services needs.
Monitors business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times.
Negotiate contract agreements whenever possible & AMC etc.
Establish and develop suppliers working towards long term relationships with suppliers.
Provides follow up and expediting as necessary to assure best price, quality and delivery is obtained
Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for the company.
Identifies and researches potential new suppliers in local markets.
Research for new products and services to meet the company's goals.
Assesses total costs of company purchases with in defined budgets.
Develops and implements strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels.
Oversees a team of Procurement Executives.
Reports to the Procurement Manager.
Perform any other ad-hoc task assigned by Superior or Management.
Shipping improvements and coordination of shipping documents with agencies for on time deliveries to customers and continuously working on cost reductions.
Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and in source-to-pay tools
Other Skills
Excellent analytical skills and a structured approach to problem solving
Ability to work in a team environment & to interact with employees at all levels
Positive attitude, self-starter and highly self-motivated
Duties/Responsibilities:
He will be responsible for overall Day-to Day procurement Activities since from of brought out direct and indirect items & services, AMC to supplier development for cost improvements, Quality Addressing and improvements etc& also assisting PPC manger assigned duties for shipping commercials /planning etc as directed & in full coordination with operations team for Quick market deliverys and supporting PPC manager in all his assigned activities along with subcontracted agencies works, job contracts.
More presence in marketplace than office Job.
Soft Skills:
MICRO SOFT - NAV /SAP/MRP KNOWNLEDGE
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Job Requirements:
Has overall procurement experience/knowledge (eg, sourcing, negotiating, purchasing, designing & enhancing procurement related SOP etc).
Committed to work and completed tasks within the deadline given.
High efficiency, energetic, independent, and able to work well in a fast-paced changing environment.
Possess strong interpersonal, leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficient in verbal and written communication in English and kannada local languages.
Applicants must be willing to work in Bangalore Tin Factory location
Able to start work immediately would be an added advantage.
Education and Experience:
Candidate must possess at least a bachelors degree/ Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree Logistic / Transportation, Business Studies / Administration / Management, or its equivalent.
At least 4 -5 year(s) of working experience in purchasing; comprehensive knowledge in strategic procurement
Target Industries &experience: -
4-5 years of experience with working experience in Electrical components manufacturing companies only preferred.
