Associate Director of Sales

- Direct and manage all salesactivities to maximize revenue potential for Group Business andLeisure Travel business.
- Overseedaily Business Review meeting sales meetings training and othersales related meetings as required.
- Review allgroup contracts for turnover to EventServices.
- Carry an individual goal as part ofthe team
- Oversee/manage the processof::
- Monthly quarterly annualgoalsetting
- Sales funnelreview
- 90day and annual employment reviews fordirect reports
- On boarding and training plansfor new sales team members
- Monthly group reviewwith Revenue Management / DOS/ DOSM
- Contractnegotiation
- Team goalsetting
- Any reporting required for hotel /ownershipmeetings
- Contribute tothe process of:
- Monthly forecasting grouprevenues
- Group ratedetermination
- Annual rooms revenuebudget
- Annual marketingplan
- Action plan review with DOS/DOSM
- Projects and additional areas offocus in collaboration with DOS/DOSM.
- Work withother departments within the hotel to provide quality service tocustomers.
- Attend trade shows community eventsand industry meetings.
- Maintain knowledge ofmarket competition and customers.
- Deputize forthe Director of Sales/ Director of Sales & Marketing intheirabsence
Qualifications:
To fulfil this rolesuccessfully you should demonstrate the following minimumqualifications:
- Minimum of five (5)Years of Hotel Sales Catering or Marketing Experience In a similarsized luxury hotel with experience in leading ateam.
- Fouryear college degreepreferred.
- Highly professional presentationsand communication (oral and written)skills.
- Proficiency with standard MicrosoftOffice.
- Ability to perform criticalanalysis.
- Guest focused with a passion forservice excellence
- Works well under pressure ina fast paced and constantly changingenvironment
- Strategic mind looking to advancethe hotels revenue targets
- Analytical anddetail orientated
- Adaptable experience withbusiness strategy business planning and business plandevelopment.
- Experience in large matrixorganizations.
- Knowledge of Opera Sales& Catering Software or comparableproducts.
