Scope andObjectives 

The Director of Marketing& Communications needs to ensures that campaigns andprojects are in line with Fairmont brand standard and also theprimary point of contact for global brand marketing and corporatecommunications teams.  

Ensuresefficient management of external agencies including publicrelations creative and media buy for the hotel as well as managestrategic partnerships to ensure continued awareness and publicityfor hotel.  

Sets strategies for allDigital Marketing in relation to ecommerce including trafficacquisition sales and conversion testing andreporting.

  • Leads the strategydevelopment of digital marketing campaigns to various audiencesacross multiple digital channels.
  • Develop andexecute annual EMarketing plan
  • Search enginesoptimization / marketing activities
  • Socialmedia (Organic and paid)
  • Onlineadvertising
  • Oversees strategic alliances withonline travel agencies.
  • Set Strategies for allonline activities in relation to traffic acquisition sales andconversion testing and reporting.
  • PublicRelations
  • Ensures good relations with globalregional and local media.
  • strategies publicityoutreach program to support sales and eventsteams.
  • Conceptualizes manages and executespublicity plan for hotel arcade Food and Beverage venues and spaincluding seasonal promotions key launches and media engagementactivities.
  • Plans media familiarization tripswith overseas agencies and / or departments under the Accor globalnetwork.
  • Reviews media hosting opportunitiesfor hotel to drive continuedawareness.
  • Develops and oversees influencermarketing program.
  • Maintains hotels pressmaterials including news releases executive biographies andphotography.
  • Ensures effective media coveragefor hotels programs in key markets.
  • Serves ashotel spokesperson when appointed by General Manager to make allofficial statements for hotel to media especially during crisissituations.

  • Developsmedia plan in accordance with the hotels goals andobjectives.
  • Develops creative artworks and textcopy ensuring adherence to brandguidelines.
  • Community
  • Initiatesidentifies and reviews partnership and sponsorship opportunities inline with hotel goals.
  • Supports hotelsCorporate Social Responsibility programs to ensureawareness.
  • Identifies community engagementopportunities.
  • Supports the hotels loyaltyprograms for effective use as a promotional and awarenesschannel.
  • Collaterals
  • Be thebrand custodian ensuring guidelines adherence for all hotelcollaterals.
  • Develops and oversees photographyfor hotel event spaces dining venues spa and Arcade to ensure brandguidelines are met.
  • Manages an archival systemfor hotels history while maintaining an updated PR library forhotel.
  • Oversees and develops hotel collateralsto support Sales and Event teams as well as operational departmentsincluding Rooms and Food and Beverage.
    EmployeeCommunications / Relations
  • Supports Talent andCulture team to achieve their goals through internal communicationsand external outreach including media interviews maintainingdigital media awareness and awardsubmissions.

Qualifications:

  • Overall minimum15 years of experience in Luxury resorts and minimum 3 years in asimilar role. 
  • Pre Opening exposureremote location work high volume hotel experience isdesirable.
