JobDescription:

We are seekingan experienced DevOps Engineer who is proficientin Kubernetes Docker andselfhosting opensource tools. The ideal candidate will have astrong background in deploying and managing containerizedapplications automating workflows and ensuring system reliabilityand scalability.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • KubernetesManagement:
    • Design deploy and manageKubernetes clusters.
    • Monitor clusterhealth and perform regular updates andmaintenance.
    • Implement Kubernetesbest practices for scaling andsecurity.
  • DockerContainerization:
    • Develop andmaintain Docker images for applicationdeployment.
    • Optimize containerperformance and resourceutilization.
    • Manage containerorchestration andlifecycle.
  • SelfHostingOpenSource Tools:
    • Install configureand maintain selfhosted opensource tools (e.g. Temporal GraphanaPrometheus vaultwarden LiteLLMCoder).
    • Ensure high availability andreliability of hostedservices.
    • Implement backup anddisaster recoverystrategies.
  • CI/CDPipeline Development:
    • Collaboratewith development teams to create and improve CI/CDpipelines.
    • Automate deploymentprocesses using tools like GithubCI/CD.
    • Implement infrastructure ascode using tools likePulumi.
  • Monitoringand Optimization:
    • Set up systemmonitoring logging and alertingsolutions.
    • Analyze systemperformance and implementoptimizations.
    • Troubleshoot andresolve infrastructure and applicationissues.
  • Collaborationand Documentation:
    • Work closely withcrossfunctional teams to support projectgoals.
    • Document processesconfigurations andprocedures.
    • Provide mentorship andguidance to junior teammembers.

RequiredQualifications:

  • Experienceand Skills:
    • Minimum of 3 years ofexperience as a DevOps Engineer or similarrole.
    • Strong proficiency inKubernetes andDocker.
    • Handsonexperience with selfhosting opensourcetools.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD toolsand practices.
    • Proficient inscripting languages (e.g. BashPython).
    • Understanding of networkingconcepts and protocols.
    • Knowledge ofinfrastructure as code and configurationmanagement.
  • Education:
    • Bachelors degree in Computer ScienceEngineering or a related field; or equivalent workexperience.
  • SoftSkills:
    • Excellent problemsolving andanalytical abilities.
    • Strongcommunication and teamworkskills.
    • Ability to workindependently and manage multipletasks.

PreferredQualifications:

  • Certifications:
    • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) orsimilarcertifications.
  • AdditionalExperience:
    • Experience with cloudplatforms such as AWS GCP Azure orOracle.
    • Knowledge of microservicesarchitecture and containersecurity.
    • Familiarity with agilemethodologies and DevOps bestpractices.
